How Waldemar used our Digital Broker service and took care of the memory of his loved ones

Five years after his mother’s death, Waldemar decided to sell an apartment which had belonged to his parents since 1970. Over many years, the property located in Warsaw’s district of Mokotów has etched itself into the family history. The flat reminded Waldemar of his first high school friendships. He moved out of there after 11 years to start a new life with his wife.

As he himself says – he usually grows more attached to people than to places. On the contrary, he wanted to breathe new life and new energy into the flat that had been in his family for so long. Therefore, he resolved to sell it with no regrets.

How did Waldemar get to SonarHome?

Although many good things in life happen by chance, most of us do not count on luck when making major investment decisions. In such circumstances, we analyse alternative options, ask questions, check Google reviews or forums and make calculations. However, Waldemar developed his opinion on SonarHome by a pure accident. Right after entering our website, Waldemar decided to use our property valuation algorithm. He was keen to know what the actual transaction price of his flat was. Finding the right buyer – The key to success

When Ewelina found the prospective buyers Waldemar had no doubt that Maria and her son would make the perfect new owners of his flat. The decision to sell was facilitated by a small, amusing quid pro quo - the potential buyer of the flat had the same surname as Waldemar's former family doctor. Maria’s kind-heartedness and openness just reassured him that it was a great decision. As he himself recalls:

– It was really good to know that the prospective buyers were such nice and friendly folks. I just thought: Well, that’s cool that a new cheerful life will be brought to this apartment. They will make this place more joyful and start their new life there.

All the sales formalities were quickly completed. Waldemar had been well-prepared for this transaction and completed all the necessary documents and expert opinions required by the buyer. So when he met Maria and her son he decided to sell them his flat with no delay. Evelina handled the entire process and all that Waldemar had to do was to make his presence at the notary’s office to finalise the deal. Just one last signature and the process was completed with the same ease as it had from the start.

Happy ending after the sale of the flat

Waldemar is not a big fan of urban life. He simply can’t stand all those large blocks of flats, gated communities, heavy traffic and the ubiquitous concrete. He has been living in the countryside near Warsaw for a long time now, and since he retired last year, he has enjoyed all the things he cherishes most in the country such as the peace and quiet, the greenery and the fresh air. And music too! Waldemar just loves music and whenever he returns home he always turns on his favourite radio station. He reads books, socialises and drives his wife to and from work. These are the  joys of his life and this is what he would like to focus on. 

– I have the peace of mind now – says Waldemar and adds – This is what I’ve always dreamt of. I do not have to rush anymore. People who are gone will always remain in our memories. That sales transaction has just closed another chapter of my life. Now a new chapter will be opened by those nice people there. And that’s really cool!
